Do it yourself projects always make me excited. There is a world of possibilities out there, and completing a project yourself is fun, cheap, and a great hobby to start. I like to start with an idea first - then buy in the materials - the hardwoods, the nails, the glues, the paints - and get started!

Being raised in a house where I am taught to fend for myself, I've learned many valuable life skills small at home tasks that you do yourself have more transferable skills than you would imagine. In the past years I've learned how to sew and hem clothing, crochet, fix a running toilet, build a bookshelf, and much more. The best thing you can get out of do-it-yourself projects is that feeling after everything finally pans out. There's nothing greater that looking at a finished project and thinking to yourself "wow, I did all that". Although it can be somewhat time consuming, do-it-yourself projects are a fun hobby to startit beats sitting on the couch! There is a world of things out there for you to try, and I, for one, am the type of person that wants to try it all.
