People well know the addictions of heroine, marijuana, hashish, alcohol and cigarettes but almost nobody knows the addiction of internet and cyber life. I was unknowingly an internet addict and about two years ago I came to know that I have become an internet addict to such an extent that all my friendships, enjoyments, hobbies and works depend upon internet. I was not happy with my life, since that time I started spending my time on activities outside the cyber world. I started playing badminton at first and found a drastically positive impact on my health. I also replaced my computer's chess game with a real chess board and found that playing with friends is much more pleasurable than playing online. Activities like mountain climbing, bike riding and playing with dogs seem to me now much more attractive than the boring indoor cyber life. I've swapped my pyjamas for some laksen breeks! I would say that nature and outdoor life has given me a real life. |

I have an array of fashion accessories - from hair accessories to my beloved shoe collection - and it's the latter I want to talk about. I have an incredible pair of shoes, they are not fancy or luxury... they are just special and different. The sole is made of wood, prolly oak or something like that, because it is yellowish, they do not make me look taller, because I am a short girl by the way, but they have a little heel, the top is made of bone canvas, and they have a nice flower embroidery full of colors, that make them so nice and very particular. I love wearing them with jeans and tee shirts, so with a skirt and a blouse, I like the way they make me feel, pretty and confortable at same time. Sometimes I wonder where are they from, because I've heard wooden shoes come from the Netherlands, but these seem to be italian, I got them from a very dear friend who gave them to me in my 30th birthday, perhaps that's why they are so special to me too. |

When I was young and just learning the art of gift-giving, my dad gave me this advice: “When you buy a gift for someone, it should be personal and it should be something that person didn’t realize they wanted.” Now, that can be a really tall order. In today’s society driven by consumerism, most of us seem pretty certain about what we think we want. So how can we even begin to guess what our loved one doesn’t know that they want?
My sister actually makes her gifts - she has all these jewellery tools and makes these wonderful jewellery items. But I don't have such skills, and most of my friends aren't into jewellery.
Here’s a step in the right direction: go to your local bookstore. There’s something there for everyone, from your little sister to your partner to that guy that has it all. A good book will be personal, meaningful, and you almost certainly don’t have to worry about accidentally buying a duplicate gift. From personal experience, the best gift I ever gave was a guppy. My partner at the time was taken completely by surprise, and it was a gift that he cherished for the three years of the little fish’s life. Whatever you decide to gift this holiday season, take my advice: make the gift one that is uniquely from you and will always remind the recipient of your relationship. |

I adore dresses - from He Loved an Angel dresses to simple jeans dresses. I buy a new dress at least twice a week. I prefer dresses over skirts and shorts. I think they are a lot more feminine and can any lady look attractive. I often feel compelled to buy a new one as soon as I see a new design or style that I have never seen. There are lots of boutiques in the city that sell sophisticated styles however a lot of them are very expensive. This often doesn't deter me. I prefer short dresses as I think longer ones look rather old-fashioned. Dresses look great with cardigans and wedges. They are ideal for casual and evening wear. My latest edition is one from Target. Many people think they sell uninteresting dresses however they have recently launched a new range which look incredibly trendy. There are lots of styles to choose form. I ended up buying quite a few. Unfortunately I bought the wrong size however they will make terrific Christmas presents. |

Someone who I have always wanted to dress up as but have never had the nerve is Shaka Zulu. When it comes to mens fancy dress costumes, that's surely the ultimate alpha male costume. I have always thought about dressing up as him but never seem to be able to. Not only do I respect the leader of the Zulu tribe that worked hard to defend his people and to protect them from outside harm and influence, but I also think that if u have a decent or better body, the outfit would look really good on you. There is something about dressing up as a type of warrior I think that is primal in most men and dressing up as the King of the Zulu's definitely has its appeal. It would also be an homage in my opinion to dress up as one of the most celebrated african heroes on the last three hundred years. So in conclusion I reiterate the fact the Shaka Zulu would definitely be who I would dress up as for a fancy dress party, no other character even comes close in my mind. |

I am a fashion conscious person. I am very discerning about the accessories and clothes I wear. Lace and other fine materials are at the front of my mind when considering what items to buy. I always choose branded clothes as they have the smooth finishing and am very comfortable in wearing those. I always choose Levis jeans as they have the perfect fitting and style. Matching pairs of shoes for any T-shirt and jeans are most important thing to remember. Gold jewellery is something which I like to wear as the "finishing touches" to my outfit. If someone compliments on my accessories then it will become my "new favourite" and I'll wear it even more - perhaps I'm fishing for more compliments?!
Every occasion demands a particular outfit and style. I always dress according to the event, and don't like to over-dress as I find that very tacky - there's a fine line between style and pretension. |

Just a few days back, me and my mother went to a mall since it was shopping festival and certain things were sold for throw-away prices. We entered a shop, with just the mere intention of window shopping. That was when I spotted a silver clutch bag. My mother, who saw me stare at the back with sheer admiration, asked me if I liked the bag. I thought that she was just asking a general opinion. When I completed saying my full opinion about the bag, my mother said that I can buy it if I want. I pinched my self to find out if it was a dream or not, because my mother just allowed me to buy this wonderful handbag. I didn't waste time in answering in the affirmative and I became the proud owner of one cute little clutch bag that I will carry around with me wherever I go. |

To this day, one of the nicest gifts I've ever been gifted was a beautiful cream colored pashmina scarf given to me by my husband for our 5th year anniversary. He said it was because the first time he saw me I had been wearing a scarf, I don't remember that, but this is cashmere - so I went with it. It's one of the simplest things I own, but it makes me feel like a million dollars. There are those items of clothes that some people wear to let others know how expensive they are those bedecked with logos and labels, but this is just for me. It's so soft and cozy, yet unassuming that it provides satisfaction to only the one wearing it, and I like that. Plus, the color goes with everything. I think I've literally worn it with my entire wardrobe. There are even days when I wear it inside the house, just to make myself feel better. I know, it’s silly, but If silly makes me feel better, then so be it. It is one of my favorite things, and I hope it lasts well into the future, but if it doesn't, my husband will have an easy time in deciding what to get me for our next anniversary. |

I have a huge handbag collection - from evening bags to satchels. There are pocketbooks for all seasons, all occasions, and any time of day. Although I usually stick with one back per season, I’ll switch out bags to match certain outfits. But most importantly, I’ll switch my bag for very special occasions. My favorite bag is a black Prada back from Italy. It is especially important to me because my parents bought it for me while they were on a trip to Europe. My mother doesn’t even have a Prada back, but my father wanted to bring me back something special. It isn’t an every day kind of bag. I don’t need to have a fancy pocket to carry around every day. But this bag makes me feel special if I’m going to an important dinner, to the theatre, or another special night out on the time. Not only does it make me feel good to have a fashionable bag, but it’s special because it reminds me of my parents. |

If you can sum up a huge buying vertical, it would be : unique gifts for her. Unique gifts for your wife or girlfriend is a huge market, and it got me thinking about what I like. By far, the best fashion item I own are scarves. They are so multi puposed that I can wear one almost every day. Scarves can take the place of belts or necklaces. Scarves look great as hair pieces. If the scarf is big enough, some people have even been known to wear them as shirts. Scarves can be found in any color or print or even fabric. Their uses are endless. If I was having trouble with a dress that had gotten just a bit too big with my new diet program, I could choose a scarf, tie it under my bust and now I have a fitted A dress that looks great with a splash of color. I could be wearing a scarf around my neck as common scarves are thought to be worn when I get out of the car and realize the wind has whipped my hair into a mess. The scarf now can be used to tie up and cover most of the wind swept hair and I still look great. Scarves are a little recognized and under rated wonder in the fashion world. |

It's just common sense, but I insist on safetywear for my self-build project. That means safety footwear, hard hats, gloves and also high visibility jackets for all. Sometimes lighting is a bit poor, so the visibility jackets are necessary. Also with people working above others, falling debris could be fatal without some head protection. The gloves and footwear protect those carrying heavy objects around. When you see people wearing all this gear, you can get the quick impression that it's all overkill, particularly on small projects, but it isn't. It's there for the unexpected moment, the split-second loss of footing, a lapse in concentration. I just feel a lot easier to know the workers are protected as much as they can be - of course, the rest comes down to training and people generally acting in a responsible way when on the job - that's something else - that comes down to picking a team you can trust. |

I love Citizens of Humanity jeans - they go so well with my Cosy Feet shoes and many t-shirts I own. I own several pairs, and they are all holding up very well after being worn many times. They are made of very strong, durable material that does not stretch after being worn. I wear these jeans quite often, and almost always get compliments on them. I have bought these jeans new, as well as at thrift stores so that I am the second owner. Even in these situations, they hold up well and I have never been disappointed. Although they are expensive, I feel that these jeans are worth the money. I have owned several brands of even more expensive jeans, none of which have held up as well as the Citizens of Humanity jeans. They are available in a variety of stores, from department stores to small, upscale boutiques. I would recommend these jeans to anyone who likes having the most durable fashions styles in their closets. |

Women usually dream all their lives about getting married. They want their Prince Charming to come in on a noble steed and sweep them off their feet into the sunset. For this exact reason, many women choose to have the 'princess styled' wedding, complete with bridal tiaras and whatnot. Of the many weddings I have attended, about seventy-five percent of them were lavish events with extremely large bridal/groom parties and many guests. You can literally see the satin of all colors shining from across the street! My wedding experience however was quite a calm and quiet one because hubby and I had a young baby and were on a tight budget. We had very little guests. The most expensive parts were the actual marriage license and the rings! With so many marriages ending in divorce, I don't feel it is so important to go in over your heads to plan an expensive wedding unless you have adequate support from loved ones and will not have to worry about the florists' bill when you are now thinking of possibly raising children. I was always one to dream of being married and coming down the aisle in a dress with a 26ft. train however some decisions are tough and you have to consider the long term versus the short. |

I can't believe I'm a parent now who feels rather unsophisticated compared to my daughter - she's got her own fashion tastes - particularly Oilily bags - and even has her own laptop computer too!
And then I remember back to my childhood - we were the first generation to be gifted the marvel that is electronic games and toys. When I was a kid there was a toy that I desired the most, it wasn’t a radio-controlled car or a bike, what I wanted over all things was a Super Nintendo (Entertainment System). I still remember when I got mine for Christmas, I opened the box and I couldn’t take my eyes or hands away from it. This little plastic thing was not a toy it was a door to countless fantasy worlds, it was a path for becoming whatever you wanted to be, from an Italian plumber in his quest to rescue his beloved princess, to a car driver or even a giant ape with anthropomorphic features. They only thing I as boy needed was to turn that plastic box on, and all notions of time and space vanished, there was no other place where I rather be, or other thing I be rather doing, even to this date I cherish the times I spent with it, playing with friends or by myself. |

The first thing you should know about a freshwater pearl is where they can be found. They grow in non salty environment in freshwater mussels. Currently the leader in freshwater pearl harvesting is China. Freshwater pearls have been harvested in China since the 13th century.
One of the main reason for the popularity of a freshwater pearl is the wide variety of shapes and colors. They also are cheaper then salt water pearls. The other big attraction to a freshwater pearl is they are durable. It is hard to chip and degeneration is slower.
The freshwater pearls you fine today are of much better quality then those found just several decades ago. The pearls now come from Triangle shell mussel. They produce higher quality pearls then the ones found in the Cockscomb pearl mussel, which was used until the mid 1990s. Pearls quality have also increased since the lower number of grafts inserted into either valve. The graft insertion rate has dropped by 5 per valve in just the last decade. |

My current favorite fashion item is a grey fox fur collar that I purchased a few months ago. It goes so well with my oscar boots. I initially bought it thinking that it was a cute, fun accessory that I could use to step up a sweater. Since getting it home, I have found it to be so much more versatile than that. I attach it to everything from coat hoods, to shirt collars, to purses. IT instantly steps up and refreshes whatever item I pair it with. IT adds a little bit of luxe and detail to what could otherwise be a very run of the mill article of clothing. I chose my fox collar in a silver grey color, so it pairs beautifully with navy, black, brown, camel and pretty much any color you can think of. The other nice attribute of the collar, is the seasonal versatility. Typically a coat with a fur collar attached is made for extremely cold winter weather and is, therefore heavy. The collar allows me to attach it to a much lighter weight collar, thus having the look of “Fall” when it is still to warm for super heavy layers. |
