Facebook: A Great Way To Keep Up With Many People

What I like most about Facebook is how it lets me keep up with what's going on in people's lives - at least the people among my family, friends, and acquaintances who post what's happening. So just today I learned that a high school classmate and a college friend who've never met each other (that I know of) ran in the same Disney-sponsored race, that an online friend is engaged, even that another's baby is starting to sleep through the night.
It's also a great source of interesting websites and news articles because many of my 200 or so Facebook friends post these kinds of links. I admit, sometimes a person who posts a lot of stuff on, say, a political view you disagree with can be annoying, but you can block someone's posts without unfriending them, which is convenient for family members and such who you don't really want to offend.
I do also play games on Facebook, but the five or six I used to play have dwindled down to one, because it's just really hard to keep up with all of them, since they were the type of game where you work toward achievements over time and not just a board-game type of thing that doesn't carry over from one day to the next. I also like to "do up" my profile page with some Facebook banners too.
